[Juventudes Socialistas Unificadas broadside collection] 1936-1939.

Collection of 71 anti-fascist broadsides issued by the Juventudes Socialistas Unificadas, founded in April 1936. Many of the broadsides were issued in association with other communist or socialist groups, including committees of the J.S.U. Most of the broadsides voice support of the Popular Front coalition and the Soviet Union, all amply couched in vehement anti-fascist language. Included are recruitment broadsides directed at young men and women, one specifically seeking aviators. Other topics mentioned include the evacuation of Madrid, the effort to protect the town of Euzkadi, an assembly of girls celebrated on 23 April, propaganda relating to the Alerta organization, and the taking of Málaga by the fascists. Also anti-P.O.U.M. propaganda.
